Wiltons music hall

Open House Highlights

Open House returns to London on September 16th and 17th. Here are my East London highlights. I’ve chosen most close to home as I hope to visit all of these. But if I only make it to Wilton’s Music Hall I’ll be happy. The oldest music hall in London to survive in its original form, complete with papier-mâché balconies, barley sugar iron columns and unique … Continue reading Open House Highlights

Pulse London Trade Show

On Sunday I went the the trade show Pulse London. I have been pondering taking part in a trade show for sometime but every time I go I’m filled with a sense that I will never be ready. Pulse is no exception. So many of the stands are just outstanding and hours must have been spent preparing and setting up. Here’s just a few I coveted. … Continue reading Pulse London Trade Show

East Wick Candles

I met the girls from East Wick Candles at Renegade Craft Fair and fell in consumer love with their branding and then their candles. I love their pared back style and packaging. A Dirty Burger in Whitechapel

After a very boring start to our Sunday (a visit to Topps Tiles -yawn) we went for a rather messy burger at Dirty Burger in Whitechapel. With a pared back menu of just a few burgers and chicken from a spit, it’s a great place to go if you’re hungover and struggling to make those difficult choices.  We were surrounded by a bunch of 20 somethings … Continue reading A Dirty Burger in Whitechapel

Called ‘A pound of flesh for 50p’, It has been built using 8000 was bricks and is designed to melt using special heat devices. Mondrian Hotel London

I would love to stay in this hotel. Even though I live in London I covet a number of hotels in the city.  I walked past a few weeks ago (as close as I’ll probably get) and thought it looked very slick. The Mondrian London has been created at the old Sea Containers House, a former drab office block building. The hotel is located between the Oxo … Continue reading Mondrian Hotel London
