INK Bethnal Green

Here’s a post for the foodies. A new and fabulous restaurant has just opened and luckily for me it’s just around the corner in East London. The setting is as stunning as the food. Overlooking Regents canal INK offers seasonal Nordic cuisine. Just about everything served from Lithuanian chef Martyn Meid’s kitchen was delicious and beautifully presented.  And the prices are very competitive. The most expensive main was only £17.

The rye flatbread with homemade butter was a good start. For the starter I had Scallops with Peach, Burnt Onion and pork crackling. I didn’t get a photo of this because I was too greedy.

For the main I had braised beef with garden peas, broad beans, pine nuts and stringed potato.

Need I say anything about this pudding? It was divine

The wine list was brief but good and the service was impeccable and friendly. And even though I didn’t have one the cocktail list is something to go back for.  Go before the masses discover it and the prices go up to the level they deserve!
