This restaurant is on my list of places to go in London. Now I have children this list seems to get longer and longer by the day. As I’m not likely to get there this summer I thought I’d blog about it for the benefit of all you child free, time rich people out there. Named after William Taylor’s 2001 book about Spitalfields, this is the kind of restaurant I love. Unpretentious, rustic and all about the food.
Here’s what they say ‘This Bright Field opened its doors in the summer of 2012. We’re a friendly neighbourhood kind of place serving fresh tasty food for breakfast, lunch and supper.’
Brixham Pollock, Norfolk Samphire with brown shrimp butter
Bubble cake with duck egg and Scottish girolles
Lamb provencal – with saffron potatoes and anchovies
The menu is seasonal so can change daily.
So if anyone wants to volunteer to babysit the kids, please get in touch.
